I wonder if, as the biological basis of intelligence becomes better understood, it will start to seem wrong to call people stupid.

Right now, the most self-consciously virtuous people have no problem calling e.g. Trump dumb or stupid.
But I can easily imagine our descendants 100 years from now wincing at our shocking unPCness in using such words.

It could go the other way -- understanding the biological basis of intellect might put it into the same category as other genetic traits.

How is that going the other way? Polite society views making fun of someone for genetic traits as rude, at the very least.

PCness isn't the issue, accuracy is the issue. He's extremely intelligent, in certain areas. He's not a conformist though.
