Right now, the most self-consciously virtuous people have no problem calling e.g. Trump dumb or stupid.

If intelligence is purely driven by genetic, environmental factors not within one's control. Otherwise, partly to blame for one's stupidity.

I suspect calling someone stupid will be like calling someone fat. For some it will be mean, for others it might spur a behaviour change.
