The Tesla Model S was like the iPhone in that all other manufacturers now have to copy it. The difference is many don't realize that yet.

There's no analog to Android in this situation. That gives Tesla an advantage that Apple didn't have.
It's possible to imagine a future in which few other car manufacturers survive. Not saying that will happen, but remarkable it's possible.

I don’t know any manufacturer who thinks they don’t have to switch to all electric drive. Only question is how quickly.
