We print them out. In our case the kid is 5, so the print has to be big.

There have been small publishers printing customized books with your child's name, friends, toys etc added for decades.

By custom I don't just mean with their name. I mean about things you know they like.

I did this. It's on Amazon. My son said "Mom, it's still a book." Maybe I should learn to make a video game next time.

Phil Knight did this (explained in his book Shoe Dog). Character's name was "Matt History" and rode with Paul Revere, etc.
