worrying about competitors kills more startups than the competitors themselves. I rarely ever look at what competitors are doing.

Competitor just shutdown due to betting big on wrong model. Seems ok sometimes to grow slower until you have a few validated assumptions.

Hard balance. Shouldn't be waiting for black swan events but seems advantageous to not over-extend growth/hype during pre-PMF.
