I told each YC batch that if they came and asked me if they were failing, I'd answer them candidly. Few ever did.

Companies (including ours) would consider acceptance to YC as an accomplishment & wouldn't consider themselves failures for that very reason
That is a dangerous illusion. But actually doing YC would cure you of it.

I would imagine. I think all of the PR around acceptance into YC causes the illusion. Makes other startups think that's the magic bullet...

I got rejected twice, just broke even, and on track to make healthy income 1st year. Even being rejected from YC creates good companies lol

Would be incredible to do YC and I think it would give our company the help it needs. We know we are failing, but we aren't giving up!
