In other countries the startup ecosystem is less developed. Conservative investors like to fund suits. In some you need govt connections.

I don't think its about investors. It is the closest thing to mentorship available. I started my company same time as my wasted Nigerian MBA

I learned nothing directly useful to my startup from MBA courses but I had classmates with venture experience and one funded us.

Why do you assume that MBAs are "suits"? Many of the smartest Indian engineers get MBAs to learn business, or to escape outsourcing jobs.
