The next Microsoft was a search engine. The next Google was a social network. What will the next Facebook be?

The goal of Facebook is to be the next Facebook, so they buy (Instagram, WhatsApp) or copy (Snap) what comes close. It will eventually fail.
As those examples are meant to suggest, it won't be in the same business as Facebook.

Initially, yes, and then it might change. Initially Google wasn’t im Microsofts business, and Facebook wasn’t in Googles Business, either.
