i reduce strokes by testing if the area covered by a stroke has been hit many times already. if hits are too high i discard the stroke.

i've been looking into different kinds of hatching and "stippling", but not fur. currently doing the lazy version for the plotter.

yes. and i think the kinds of random walks i often use could work for this (but i guess i only really have one hammer ...)
