I'll put up with sequential access from a handful of great writers and filmmakers. From everyone else I want random access.

Maybe we're biased towards sequential info because of time. It would be so weird if time were random access vs sequential.

Presenters prefer it because it gives them something to hide behind. Audiences prefer it when they don't want to do any work.

play 20 questions with the confounders. If you get and like the idea before running out of questions they get backed.

Presumably you need to start with a sequentially-transmitted index, so that you can figure out where to randomly access later?

whenever I pitch I use the first question I get to jump out of the sequence into the right slide. The ensuing engagement skyrockets.

Human brain evolved to respond to stories, not logic. This can be frustrating but it's the most compelling way to change most minds.

unfortunately, it seems few people prefer these more informative formats compared to a linear dumbed down story.

what is the alternative? How can you tell a story without a sequence? Or the story itself is useless for you?

What might help is a graph so you can navigate to thinks related. Or maybe a word or concept cloud.

@YangTerrence I prefer conversations to pitches, but I can attest to the demand for sequential pitching from the other sideThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

are you referring to investment pitches? If so, do you suggest an alternative?
