What are your favorite examples of startup "exits" that turned out to be worthless to the acquiring company?

to be fair, they kept the team and used the broadcast technology for over a decade. bebo was truly worthless to aol.

virtually all of their produced video content went through the platform, so yes. I'm sure it didn't pay for the acq. though
