And the former prime minster from a founding member of NATO on a diplomatic passport. Guilty until proven innocent.

Sounds like they're doing their job. Could have gone easier on the old lady but at least they're guarding the boarder.
-
there is no part of the job that requires rudely interrogating elderly Australians. The tactics are unacceptable.
-
interrogations are not the same as Q & A. The tactics are there for a reason - to try to catch baddies.
-
and what reason is there to believe that this woman is a “baddie” in need of this treatment? It makes no sense.

But that is a *good* thing if you care about border security - the person was red flagged and CBP did their job.
-
What's getting a lot of play here is that the person was older, female, well off and white. A young, poor, person of color - nada.
-
at ban outset, non-wht people were targeted and people of all colors fought back. To suggest otherwise is false narrative
-
I'm just commenting why the story is getting play. Thousands of people a day get similar treatment who aren't white/rich
-
I understand. To report on a thing means other things are excluded. Lines get drawn even if not intentional.
-
Agreed. Press does not need to write about wealthy white people getting grilled at border - that's a good thing. More!
