There's a problem with this kind of logic. Being ok w/ bigotry is a choice and it hurts people, a person's lifestyle/ethnicity isn't.

In fact several NRI(ndians) supported Trump, just out of spite for Muslims back home. No sympathies if they feel awkward now.
