      It's actually pretty impressive that with 1960s technology the Concorde's designers came within 30% of what's possible today.

          Bigger fans better at lower speed, less at higher speed. Mach 2.2 works with goldilocks fan

          scale effects make a smaller aircraft harder. Could do more than 30% at 100 pax. But Concorde is really really impressive

          that's my point. It's only 30% more efficient than Concorde was. An A320 is 5x more fuel efficient than Concorde per passenger
