I've had a feeling of deja vu about Trump for months and I just figured it out. He's a troll.
If Trump is essentially a troll, that suggests ideas for preventing future Trumps. We've developed lots of techniques for dealing with them.

Trolls are the symptom, not the cause. They arise when establishment has become fundamentally unfair, unserious. To mock & expose it.
