The only thing worse than a political insider is the sort of candidate you get when people use their vote to protest against insiders.
I knew about the phenomenon of protest voting, but I didn't realize till this election what terrible candidates it selects.

Holding first-past-the-post elections deserves more blame for poor outcomes than people who refuse to vote tactically.
