        This is largely a statistical mirage caused by US treatment of premature births; extraordinary care vs. written off as stillborn.

        Yes but US living space is designed around the car. Not in Europe in Europe it's normal to walk to things.

        How much is due to bad healthcare vs bad health choices? Obesity shortens lives and is not cheap, and there's a lot in the US.

        And that's just one issue, people also aren't very good with preventative care, even when they have insurance that covers it.
