When my grandfather was in his 80's, he once said he still felt around 55 or so. I took that as optimism.

this is why my dad would always say "be the best 17/25/40 year old you can be."

Logical conclusion: life extension will mean rebellious 80 year olds talking back to 120 year olds lecturing them how to live.

.@paulg But 80 year olds have a lot more experience than 20 year olds at figuring out how to be another year older. Hardly newbs.

Best book I've read on this topic is Learning to Grow Old by Paul Tournier. Read it, you won't regret it.
