@georgepearkes The problem is that subscriptions usually auto-renew. That means one more thing one has to remember. *That* I can't afford.

@paulg so anything that uses auto-renew is an unacceptable hassle? sorry, this strains credulity. -
@georgepearkes Do you think I'm lying about my own experience as a user? -
@paulg Certainly not. I do wonder what services you use that do have autorenew which aren't media-based though. -
@georgepearkes@paulg. The problem with most media content is that it's simply not good enough to pay for. That's why I don't pay for it -
@georgepearkes@paulg it its really good, auto renew is a convenience feature by definition -
@georgepearkes@paulg e.g. I like nytimes articles but not enough to pay for them. But I subscribe to New Yorker and love the auto renew -
@georgepearkes@paulg I read Paul's inequality article and enjoyed it, I wouldn't have paid to read it

@paulg@georgepearkes I always disable auto-renew. If there is no way to disable auto-renew, I don’t even subscribe.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
