@AriMNazir@mattyglesias I'm not surprised it's the same shape as the graph of economic inequality. (http://paulgraham.com/re.html ) -
@paulg@mattyglesias I personally like this post of yours more: http://paulgraham.com/ineq.html Also, if you're a FDR fan: http://www.amazon.com/Ken-Burns-Roosevelts-Intimate-History/dp/B00NL5NGPW …

@paulg social media + democracy: hanson's Great Filter? -
@floydophone@paulg That dark, but an intriguing idea. Could the filter be a social construct + technology not just tech or environmental. -

@paulg It's weird too because fear, urge to control, attacks on free speech, virulence & mob mentality are increasing on right AND left. - 1 more reply

@paulg 1/18 Current problem is not polarization. It is rejection of the establishment (both parties), and establishment reasserting control. -
@paulg 2/18 A majority of U.S. voters (both parties) say that the U.S. needs at least a third major party. -
@paulg 3/18 But this is not possible given GOP & DNC collusion on ballot access obstruction (regulatory capture of voting process). -
@paulg 4/18 The polarity is by design. It helps keeps party members in line. -
@paulg 5/18 Clinton is the establishment among Democrats, the establishment has not fallen, but an outsider is providing a real challenge. -
@paulg 6/18 The Democratic challenger is a true outside, a Democratic Socialist not even previously a member of the party. -
@paulg 7/18 The GOP establishment has completely collapsed and the runaway front runner is an outsider that the establishment cannot stop. -
@paulg 8/18 All a direct result of ballot access obstruction of third party candidates, so outsiders have to fight for a major ticket. - 10 more replies
