The #1 reason I won't subscribe to the NYT, WSJ, FT etc is that auto-renewals mean an extra thing I have to think about.

@peter Auto means less work, but not less attention. If you're being billed ongoing for something, you have to think about it.
@peter Wouldn't it seem gross to you to sign up for some site, forget you signed up for it, and only realize 10 years later?
