The #1 reason I won't subscribe to the NYT, WSJ, FT etc is that auto-renewals mean an extra thing I have to think about.

@paulg you do realize that the "auto" in auto-renewal would suggest the exact opposite of your premise.
@peter Auto means less work, but not less attention. If you're being billed ongoing for something, you have to think about it.
