@paulg Only the failures look like wasted time! Microsoft also wasted time copying Netscape, 1-2-3. Google, iOS and Yahoo Mail.
@patrickc By "wasted time" I mean copying stuff stupidly far from your center of gravity, simply because it's the hot new thing.
