Turns out AdBlock can block the Moments tab. Cutting it is a surprisingly significant improvement.

You can't just follow the default Adblock flow though. You have to filter by url, which is not preselected. Don't worry, it will be obvious.

@paulg I used uBlock: right clicked on it -> uBlock -> block element. Amazing.
