@paulg I think part of the problem is kids paying $50K a year to attend school now. They regard themselves as customers, not students

@paulg agree with some of this but Im a Yale senior and students are more angry about racial inequality on campus than the email itself -
@paulg the debate centers more around the administration's role in preventing and addressing discriminatory behavior/speech -
@mooonyose@paulg Article points out that's fair, but there are plenty of other students angered by the email and the conference remarks -
-
@mooonyose@paulg the article was specifically addressing the email and conference, and there has been a lot of outcry against the email -
@bc289 from what I've seen on campus, outcry is about inequality more than email. leaving out the rest mischaracterizes students' attitudes -
@bc289 i tend to agree with similar articles, but this one misses the point of events on campus. not saying student response is perfect tho -
@mooonyose well I think the article is specifically addressing the emails. It's not talking about inequality

@paulg when PoC complain it's not about an isolated incident. They are focusing on one email after previous incidents. straw back camelThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
