When you accuse Silicon Valley of x, you're implicitly saying x works well, which doesn't seem smart if you're against x.

@kittykaraoke@paulg@danprisk 'obviously' if Z more-effective, others doing Z will unseat those still doing X, unless Z converges to X -
@Luke1732Mullen@paulg@danprisk There is nothing obvious about people discovering something new. Everyone thinks the same =>no one does Z. -
.
@kittykaraoke@paulg@danprisk an AWESOME opportunity for someone to upset apple cart by doing hyper-optimal Z instead of (sub)optimal X -
@Luke1732Mullen@paulg@danprisk except, there are structural reasons that the apple cart is the way it is. stable equilibrium, need$$$ etc -
@Luke1732Mullen@paulg@danprisk + .. to move it off its current path. not frictionless. -
@kittykaraoke@paulg@danprisk so you've come full circle? Paul is/was making a valid point? QED ;-);-);-) -
@Luke1732Mullen@paulg@danprisk ha! no. false premises lead to easily disproven conclusions. He should try harder.
