    Who can drive a Tesla and not come away feeling "This is obviously the future?"

        @EricaJoy Cars depreciate fast. A 1998 BMW 7 series is about $3k.

        @paulg seriously though, giant iPads with tacky UI instead of a dashboard? I sincerely hope that is not the future.

        @JaysonElliot It's true, I'm hoping they'll get over that. But other cars' displays are all far worse.

        @paulg @JaysonElliot really ? That / the UI is one of the best features (right up with don't even push a button to start)

        @smenor @paulg it reminds me of a video jukebox from a bar. It's distracting and I'll-suited to use while in motion.

        @JaysonElliot @paulg you could say the same about any such display. Perhaps I'm not easily distracted but for me it disappeared immediately.

        @smenor I agree that touchscreen displays are inappropriate for cars. I see Tesla as taking the lazy way out with their interior.

        @JaysonElliot I didn't say they're inappropriate but you would have to to be consistent. Would you prefer the hockey puck thing BMW uses?!

        .@iamjakestream @paulg Exactly right! Big automakers think they are competing w/ another car. Tesla is not a car, it's computer on wheels.

        @xecretcode I would agree that it's a compute on wheels. I would submit that is its weakness, not its strength.
