@paulg Are you sure its a static web page? Chrome forks out a process for each plugin instance. Could be flash. Also what OS are you on.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@svsamarth Restarting Chrome fixes the problem for me too. That's why I wonder if it's the pages, or Chrome.
