VCs: Everyone is spending too much money!! But it'd be great if you could relocate everyone to the most expensive market in the world. Thx.

@dhh Location is not the main cause of high burn. Lots of startups in SV operate super cheaply.

@paulg That's a very weak defense. You're saying SF salaries and real estate doesn't impact burn? C'mon.

@dhh @paulg I also would question the quality of life for anyone who operates "super cheaply" in the valley. The two can't exist together.

@gino @dhh @paulg Expensive real estate doesn't deter folks from moving here. They do cause of the opportunity and then live frugally.

@gino Quality of Life isn't defined by how money u have left to spend. One would probably have enough. BTW. Love @CozyCo. Recent convert.

@ajaya Thanks! :-) I think of quality of life my measures of financial pressure, traffic, grumpy people, waiting in lines, etc.

@marcusedvalson @dhh @paulg Headcount is probably the #1 driver of high burn. Salaries #2. Office space #3?

@marcusedvalson @dhh @paulg Not headcount. A remote team is more expensive than a comparable valley team if they needlessly ramp headcount.
