@paulg like the article says, I'd love to see data on how the gears are more proficient than friction pads. -
@brennebeck@paulg They don't necessarily have to be better. Just good enough for the species to not be extinct before we noticed :) -
@staringispolite@paulg very true. But I imagine there is a good reason they use them earlier in life, as they use the pads later. -
