It’s kind of weird how we expect so much from charities and social work yet generally revile any attempt to pay their workers any more than the bare minimum.

The Effective Altruism framework says it is preferable to pay big bucks to workers if it produces even greater outcome gains. i.e., outcomes > overhead

@paulg one thing could also be having donors include impact on grantee employees lives as part of their impact metrics — so every time you raise pay it becomes not just an addition to your cost accounting but direct evidence of benefitThanks.
