@patrickc’s thoughts on cardholder agreements allowing subscriptions past expiration dates (and also even if you order cards with a new number!)
Patrick says Alpha uses Stripe, which has a feature for this, but that banks handle expirations unpredictably. So presumably Alpha is playing it safe.

Thanks for following up on this. It feels to me that there’s a disconnect with still using the term “expiration date” with consumers which might give them a false sense that they are in control of recurring charges via expiration dates.
