The combination of passwords and credit cards with expiration dates = garbage collection for subscriptions.

I use linux pass, stored encrypted on github, with my gpg key in a few usb drives hidden. Not perfect, but works for me! :)

Your email password is already a single point of failure. At least with a password manager, you only need to remember one good password.

Do 1Password, print out the URL, master key and password, make a copy and put it in a security deposit box at your bank. Put the original in a safe at home. Be sure to misspell the password so a bad actor won’t be able to use. You’ll use it every day so you’ll know the real one.

Still a single point of failure: only 1Password knows your passwords.

With good encryption & password for password manager - it's safer.

Perhaps, but how else to manage a rather large assortment of passwords and secrets? Plus something like Keepass can be on phone, computer, etc. and iCloud'd.

What would make you reconsider your point of view about password managers?

Isn't that the same as your email? If someone gets access to your email, they can "recover" all your passwords. Right?
