Part time cofounders should not get more than 1/10 of what the full time cofounders get in equity. True or false? Anyone have stories one way or another?

Would hazard to say depends at which point “founder” becomes “operator” and critical junctures in the business —some take a lot more sweat to set up and less to run.

What are situations where you would give 1/3rd as much to a part time cofounder? Main case off top of head would be an academic research partner still tied to a university? Any others?
