I missed the first part of summer 2012's Demo Day, because the new software I'd written for investors to express interest in startups was commingled with HN, which misinterpreted the sudden burst of clicks from investors as a DoS attack and shut off the local IP address.
While the first group of presentations were happening, I was in a conference room in the back, frantically fixing the HN server using Geoff Ralston's phone.
