We're starting to go native. Jessica now pronounces "vaccine" with the stress on the first syllable, and I just wrote "unrealised" before correcting it.

The z, and it's phonym, is such a perfect tool for transitive verbs: unique, scannable. I refuse to give them up.

As a Brit living in the US I tried to stick to 's' vs 'z' but it confused some people and they thought I was making sloppy spelling mistakes. I now tailor to the audience but I still like to slip in the majestic 'u' into colour every now and again as an act of defiance.
