Sort of. It's more generating indignation clicks by complaining that big tech isn't. That looks similar on the surface, but the underlying motivation is different.
You can tell most journalists' motivation is clicks rather than change by the fact that they don't quietly engage to figure out what the problems are and how to solve them. Their half of the conversation is all grandstanding.

I generally dislike both clicks and change as motivations in reporting (though not necessarily the larger field of journalism). A reporter should be trying to create a more informed world, not a "better" world.
