Twitter shows you how much filtering life had been doing for you. In a way it's good, because you learn about things and meet people you wouldn't have otherwise. But it also shows there's a vast pool of angry stupid people you either didn't meet, or who used to keep quiet.

I think it’s simply that people are different online than they are in person. Hiding behind a screen encourages humans to notch up their confrontationism and aggression.
