Why does anyone pay full price to attend low-ranked private colleges?

Specifically, to party with other people who can afford to pay full price to attend private colleges.

How about, to get a good education? This is what’s messed up about our education culture in the United States. One can’t fathom going to a school that’s both expensive and not “ranked highly.” Quality of education is no longer the part of the conversation

Would you say that the uni culture relies on social signals rather than education?

That’s an expensive price to pay just to party. Why not invest that money and make friends with the connect so you can party without throwing your money away

Well if you are that knowledgeable at the age of 18. God save you or maybe the world from you. Btw trust me investing is an old man's game.

So what we are saying is you need rich parents and some low ranked college to fully explore your party scene. This is what I thought for so many years. But I am middle class

Both of those things help, but I think natural aptitude matters more.

That’s such an easy answer without taking confounds into effect. But yea you’re kinda right.
