I don't think it's a stretch to say that altering admissions standards in a way that optimally reduces the number of Asians admitted is anti-Asian racism. I don't think the left or universities dislike Asians, they dislike that Asians are overrepresented based on academic merit.

Under Imbram Kendi's definition of racism, intent/dislike doesn't matter - racism just means disparate impact!
The same could be said for many other ethnic groups throughout history. This is how slippery slopes start.
Jews falsified those axioms first, but the numbers were smaller (though achievement was even more disproportionate and the recent history far uglier).
