Learned the new "status" job for college grads is VC. This is wild to me. Call me old-fashioned, but have always recommended building something first to understand the fundamentals. Then move into PM if the next level of abstraction is interesting. Investing is level after that.

it's a natural human tendency to want to short-circuit the hard work of actually doing it/building it/being it and skip ahead to being in the owners club, if you can.
