Two CEOs in short succession regarding Lambda School Fellows - where WE pay an engineer or data scientist for a month to work at your company while you try them out.” “As a CEO, I would be crazy to not take advantage of this.” Then “What do I have to do to stay first in line?”

First thought - if the candidate is the main beneficiary of the auction then I think it’s a fabulous idea. Could an employer pay off the student’s ISA + some extra % for Lambda for first pick maybe?

In the best Indian colleges, highest paying/most prestigious firms get first crack at the candidates. Students are typically taken out of the process after 1-2 offers. Kind of like draft picks. Incentivizes the companies to announce a higher salary range up front. Win-win IMO.
