One of the worst mistakes a group of people can make is to reject a good idea as characteristic of some other group they dislike just because the other group happened to discover it first. That's a recipe for staying behind.

I won’t. Crypto currencies are a huge drain on the world’s energy resources and is fundamentally wasteful. This is true. Then I take a long hard look at the financial industry, and I’m no longer convinced that crypto is worse. It’s still not good though.
