This article (willfully or not) severely misunderstands critical race theory. It's a strong rhetorical tactic to imply that "CRT" demonizes white people and is calling for their censorship--but fundamentally untrue. The author needs to do some more reading of their own.

Critical theory in its simplest form is “follow the money to understand why things are the way they are”. If that makes people uncomfortable, that’s on them and their own insecurities.

The problem with CRT in educational institutions is that activists rapidly seize power and make it an institution in which only CRT is allowed. You can’t wage battle in the marketplace of ideas if the first move in their playbook is to shut it down
