I think that's the wrong solution -- you have to take action every time you change what you're doing. And most of the time when you change in a bad direction (like alt-tabbing to Twitter) you won't think to record it. I want true random sampling.

incidentally, this is a good product idea. Interrupt, model then suggest changes to routine. Nannying for adults is a massive market.
Funny. I wrote a time tracker that pings me randomly on a 10 to 60 minute cadence to ask what I’m currently doing. It might sound annoying, but I got used to it. Now, I can’t imagine working without it. It is an incredibly effective tool, especially when billing by time.
