Arguably they're net ahead if they get inoculated against bullshit in this way. Even when they're being taught bogus things, they're still learning, just not the lesson the teachers think they're teaching.

Someone recently commented to me that once their child is school-age, they’ll have to teach them what NOT to say in school in order to avoid being ostracized and targeted for punishment / re-education. I suspect this is a tough concept for younger kids to absorb, though.
