All over the world, kids use Replit to teach themselves to program. But many schools block Replit to prevent them. The students have started a petition to ask schools to stop. Any school that blocks learning resources is not worth attending. Schools should provide a environment that supports and encourages students to learn from outside resources.

What is the argument from the schools about why they've blocked it?

That the students are supposed to be spending their time on the work that the school has assigned.

To be fair, schools use software to block websites and might be setup by a teacher who has 497 other jobs to do. They pick the strictest setting, terrifies of a safeguarding issue and some useful websites get blocked. It isn’t the school or the teacher’s fault
