Sometimes early traction or attention or success with investors goes to founders' heads. Unless the founders are very young, this is a strong predictor of failure.

I remember a story by Ben Horowitz where a founder had failed and they were talking about a new opportunity & the investor had a sentiment where he says, I paraphrase, “oh well, that went bad, I’ll crush the next one.” Superstar but brushed off the failure & $ lost to easily.
