Most probably everyone be thinking they’re a passively or aggressively independent-minded. Admitting to oneself as conventional-minded might be killing the ego.

i imagine there’s a dunning-kruger-like effect going on. aggressive conventional-minded people think they’re more independent (and aggressive independent-minded people think everyone wants to flout the rules as much as they do)
