Have they picked up any accent? I'm not sure when that gets hardwritten.
Almost none. Though now that I think about it, the 8 yo can do a perfect imitation of an English accent. Maybe he speaks in one at school.

That seems worth at least a quarter of knowing a full language. I'm reminded of Sandi Toksvig, who affects to be Danish but had an American accent until it was trouble and switched to English.
